Can I change the payment date on my contract?
Yes, you can. You must have made at least three payments, and cannot be late at the time you make the request. Contact us at
(516) 750-4490 at least 15 days prior to the scheduled due date to initiate a change.
You may be eligible to defer or "skip" a payment. Call us at
(516) 750-4490 if you are having problems making your payment, so we can help you determine if you qualify.
How do I get my payoff amount?
You can obtain a payoff directly from our Customer Portal, or you can call Customer Service at

Can I make a payment at the dealership?
No, we require that you make your payment directly to us, so that we can better assist you in managing your obligation and rebuilding your credit.
Can I get a loan from you directly?
No, we are an indirect finance company. This means that we purchase retail installment contracts, or car "notes" from dealerships. We do not lend money directly to individuals.
Do you report to the credit bureaus?
Yes, we report to Equifax, Experian and Trans Union. One of our goals is to provide you an opportunity to rebuild your credit, so that you have more options the next time you need to finance a vehicle purchase. This means that it is extremely important that you make your payments on time, to avoid any negative reporting.
What do I do if I disagree with your credit bureau reporting?

Why do I have to speak to you before my loan is funded?
Building a relationship with you is very important to us. Speaking to you before we purchase the contract gives us an opportunity to make sure we can reach you, that the terms of the contract have been made clear to you and that you have been given all the information you need in order to get off to a good start.
Do I need to have Physical Damage Insurance (Comp & Collision)?
Yes, in addition to liability and other statutory insurance specific to your state, you must have collision and comprehensive insurance covering your vehicle until it is paid off. This insurance MUST list Carvant Financial, LLC as loss payee and lienholder.

Sorry, Carvant does not refinance vehicles. But if you have made your payments on time you may be able to refinance through another financial institution, such as a bank or credit union.
